Watched Marie Antoinette by Sofia Coppola over the weekend. It was two hours of absolutely delectable sweet candy to mine eyes! I am intrigued by all those layers and layers of shiny bright tented and ribboned gowns and layers and layers of curled and piled hair. The movie had an interesting take on Marie Antoinette not as the cold-hearted royal snob she is most readily known as, and opined that her famous quote “Let them eat cake” was just a rumor constructed to pin blame and channel anger regarding sky-high taxes on her.
